Each year volunteers representing the local restaurant community host an event called “The Jacksonville FOODFIGHT” that features 50 of Jacksonville’s finest restaurants and beverage wholesalers/distributors who come together in friendly competition to “take a bite out of hunger” by raising funds and awareness for Second Harvest North Florida. 2011 Event Information

The 21st Annual Jacksonville FOODFIGHT will be held at the Touchdown Club East on Thursday, June 9, 2011. The event will feature more than 50 local restaurants, beverage distributors and caterers engaging in a friendly competition showcasing their signature dishes. In addition to the fabulous food and spirits, live entertainment will provided by local band Split Tone.

More than 1,200 guests are expected to attend the event and enjoy the samplings provided by the best in the industry. Last year, more than $95,000 was raised at the event - a record total - with all proceeds benefiting Second Harvest North Florida.
